This initiative involves empowering students in rural areas by providing them with resources and guidance to pursue higher education opportunities both within China and internationally. Specifically, we inform them that they have options to apply for scholarships at public universities across Europe and regions that accept not just Gaokao's scores but also the person—in countries like Germany, France, Italy and Turkey...—that can help them chase their dreams. Additionally, we explain how to apply for Chinese government-sponsored exchange quotas, which are often dominated by students from elite domestic universities due to information asymmetries.
We also guide students on accessing research materials without the need for a VPN, which is crucial for academic growth in resource-limited areas. Moreover, we provide tutorials on leveraging foundational online courses and AI tools, ensuring that rural students can use these resources affordably. This step is particularly important given that some individuals in China may charge high fees for GPT-based mirrored services, limiting access to these resources. The project thus aims to bridge information and opportunity gaps, fostering a more equitable educational landscape.
Now, there are more and more students coming in for advice and prosper because of our efforts.
Cases with at least 50% of scholarships now include Sciences Po, Humboldt University of Berlin, Sapienza University of Rome, University of Barcelona, University of Vienna...
